Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge

The Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge is a unique and special place located on the slopes of the Sincholagua Volcano, found in front of the Cotopaxi Volcano, the tallest most active in the world. The lodge is located at an altitude of 3600 meters above sea level and surrounded by beautiful and wide open grasslands in the Andean paramo with a combination of forest, streams, waterfalls and rivers such as the Pita the passes by peacefully near the lodge. The property is found in the middle of a private hacienda where wildlife roam freely including red-brocket deer, Andean fox, Andean pumas, White-tailed deer, and even the rare Andean-speckled bear, along with wild horses and a huge variety of endemic birds. The most famous the bird species seen in this area is the Andean Condor, the national emblem of Ecuador.

LUXURY DOME

Cotopaxi Sanctuary Lodge offers comfortable and modern four domes of 50 sq meters with large, picture windows displaying spectacular views of the Cotopaxi Volcano. Inside you’ll find comfortable accommodations equipped with double and twin beds, a bathtub, desk, heaters and a seating area within each dome. Additionally, each dome comes with a full bath with running hot water and towel warmers for even the coldest mornings and evenings. As an added plus, you can treat yourself to your own cup of coffee each day as you please since each accommodation is provided with a coffee maker, along with a well-stocked minibar for your convenience.

LUXURY SUITE

The four suites are located in the main house of 43 sq meters, all interconnected with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the Andean paramo with the Cotopaxi Volcano standing majestically in the near distance. These accommodations offer comfortable bedding with both double and twin beds available. The interior comes with a luxurious bathtub, desk, stove and a seating area within each room. You’ll also find large and elegantly designed bathrooms with hot running water and towel warmers. Waking up to the aroma of a delicious breakfast being prepared just outside in the main lodge, you can serve yourself a cup of coffee before joining as each accommodation is equipped with a coffee maker.
