Hosteria Duran

Hosteria Duran

Hosteria Duran is located in the outskirts of Cuenca in the small district of Baños. The first pools were built in the 1930´s allowing access to some of the finest thermal waters in Ecuador.

Today after its latest restoration it is one of the finest boutique hotels in the country and one of the top choices to stay if you are visiting Cuenca. We are close to everything yet outside the city without noise and with clean air to offer our guests a relaxing stay just 10 minutes from downtown Cuenca and its historical district.

While staying at Hosteria Duran you can feel and enjoy the unique thermal waters of Southern Ecuador. The hot springs are considered to have medicinal properties and can help with arthritis and breathing ailments, they are the best cure for stress.

We have more than 70 years of experience catering to the most demanding guests. Our´s is a family business founded by our Grandfather Don Ricardo Durán Brito, a visionary man who in the 1930´s bought the land where Hosteria Duran stands today. Eversince we have served thousands of guests from Cuenca and around the world at our thermal pools. We finished building the hostelry in September 1983, the purpose was to offer a fine place to stay by the pools.
