Location

Scalesia Galapagos Lodge is located in the highlands of Isabela, about 20 minutes from Puerto Villamil. The lodge is nestled in the center of 16 hectares of property in the middle of a magical forest, with a spectacular view of the coast of Isabela Island and the Pacific Ocean.

Scalesia Lodge is a new concept of lodging in the Island, it has been designed to connect you with nature and allow you to explore and enjoy Galapagos at its best. All inclusive programs, of 8, 5 and 4 days length are available for you to enjoy this spectacular site, recently named as the undiscovered gem of Galapagos.

Rooms

It is comprised of sixteen luxury tents all of which are beautifully furnished in a clean and contemporary style to reflect your serene surroundings. All of the tents are complete with their own en-suite bathroom filled with all of the amenities you will need throughout your stay.

From the comfort of your tent you will be able to relax in the evenings with a sundowner in awe of the stunning vistas of the Galapagos Islands including the highlands and coastal areas.

Activities

The lodge offers 3, 4 and 7 night programs offering a wide range of daily activities. Ideally located on Isabela Island there are ample opportunities for you to explore this majestic island as well as going in search of the wide range of wildlife which calls this island home- many of which are endemic to the island itself. There is a turtle breeding centre on the island which has the aim of rescuing and rehabilitating the infamous giant turtles in order for them to be released back into the wild. There are two active volcanoes which you are able to explore via hikes and treks; Sierra Negra volcano erupted last in 2005 and is one of the most active volcanoes of the Galapagos, you will also be able to explore the Chico Volcano.
