Excursions
Although you may have read information about the Galapagos Islands online or in guidebooks, nothing can compare to seeing this ecological paradise in person. Your naturalist guide will help you find the best places to see wildlife while on the Stella Maris. Your certified guide will take you to the best spots to view endemic species at each stop. This includes blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds as well as marine iguanas.
Two routes of eight days are taken by the ship. You can choose to cruise through the eastern islands, and stop at Lobos Island for some snorkeling with sea lions. Floreana Island is a great place to see flamingos later. You can choose a cruise to the west islands and stop at Espumilla Beach, Santiago Island's nesting place for sea turtles. Next, visit Tagus Cove on Isabela Island to see the Galapagos penguins or flightless cormorants.
You will find many ways to see the local marine life from the ship, including kayaks, snorkeling gear and stand-up paddleboards. On request, scuba and fishing excursions can be arranged. You can also share photos from all your adventures via the onboard WIFI.
